Katrina Jihad
Head of the Institute of Learning and Teaching

With extensive experience across schools on four continents and collaboration with educators from around the globe, Katrina has cultivated a unique and valuable global perspective. Prior to joining Ecolint, she served as the Primary School Principal and PYP Coordinator at Green Hills Academy in Kigali, Rwanda. Katrina also built a wealth of experience as an instructional coach, lead teacher, and classroom teacher in the United Arab Emirates and the United States, focusing on enhancing educational practices through data-driven tools and methods.
Katrina holds a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Colorado Denver and a teaching certification from Fort Lewis College, where she was recognized for her academic excellence. Her leadership is driven by a passion for equipping teachers with quality tools and research-based strategies, making her both an expert in teacher development and a visionary leader dedicated to transforming education.
Sofia Villarreal
Administrative Assistant

Sofia brings a diverse and multicultural background, having lived in Mexico, the United States, Italy, and Switzerland. Prior to joining Ecolint, Sofia worked as an intern at the United Nations and in the marketing department of Swiss Language Group. She completed her studies at the University of Geneva, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Multilingual Communication and a Master’s degree in Digital Marketing and Social Media. Her academic and professional experiences have equipped her with a deep appreciation for languages, cultural diversity, and effective communication in global environments.
Fluent in English, French, Spanish, and Italian, Sofia is passionate about facilitating cross-cultural understanding and contributing to the vibrant, dynamic atmosphere at Ecolint. She embraces continuous learning and personal growth, thriving in environments that encourage development and exploration.
